Development Centre

The Early Childhood Development Centre continues to grow from strength to strength under the guidance of Dr Rina Lemmer our principal, in providing quality assurance and ongoing upskilling of the practitioners in line with the National Curriculum for ECD Centres.

Dr Lemmer secured the curriculum and has since conducted two workshops on the development of lesson plans. She enlisted the input of two lecturers at the ARTS Academy, Ms Dianna Van Heerden and Ms Yolandi Muller. We have three classes with 3–4-year-old children and 4–5-year-old children.

We provide them with two meals and two snacks a day. The centre is open 5 days a week, and services the community of Sunnyside.
